Our selection now spreads over four pages, and includes, in addition
to our range of county maps and town plans, a nu mber of splendid lithographed
views from the 1850s, together with a few older prints. The lithographs, jointly
published by Day & Son of London and Griffin & Co, from original drawings
by noted contemporary artists such as Clarkson Stanfield, reflect the Victorian
fascination with all things Scottish. That of Gilnockie Tower, Dumfries-shire, shown below, is a typical example.

Our Fullarton county maps, also from the 1850s, show railways
andof particular importance to the family historianparish boundaries.
We have now added Dumfriesshire and Peeblesshire to the range, and hope to be
able to track down the few missing counties before too much longer. They, like
all our maps, are reproduced on heavyweight A3 Super paper (13"x19"/329mm
x 483mm), with an approximate image size of 16"x12" (400mm x 300mm);
this represents an increase of about 100% over the originals, allowing the fine
detail to be more easily appreciated. The lithographed views are reproduced on
A3 paper, and other views on A4, with an approximate image size of 7"x5"
(175mm x 125mm).
