PRAGUE, IN THE OCCUPATION OF THE ALLIED TROOPS: the ‘allied’ troops are Austro-Hungarian ones under Marshal Windischgratz, re-taking the city for the Hapsburgs after the revolt of June 1848. Although the original engraving, published by Tallis & Co. of London and New York, is undated, it must have been printed later in 1848 or in 1849.
